We watched the fading vapor trails
They were so dazzling, I ran away- I was always weak

Jay looked around, not sure what to do. She was perched on a curved branch holding a small vole in her jaws.

A purr started when she thought of how happy her stomach would be to have good food in it. She had originally come here to just bask on a branch, being the dening grounds were quite crowded at the moment, ad she only needed to be there when she slept. It was especially chaotic and crowded sense three queens had just had kits, and the grounds were the best place to raise kits.

"I wish I didn't have a den there." She mewed under her breath, cursing that she had been one of the few of her siblings to stay where they had been born. Though she wished she had been there to protect her mother from those stupid humans. They were overpopulated as well!

Slowly she jumped down from the branch and let the vole drop to the ground as to eat it.

Foxy padded through the forest. She traveled all this way to get the best peice of prey to eat. She was sick of eating frogs and toads at the swamp. She wanted to eat squirrls or voles. She stalked around the area looking for a decent meal. Then she scented something. She red she~cat looked around the area. It smelled like another cat. She grinned and went over to investagate.

"Hello?" She spoke aggressivly. Her green eyes scanned the area. She didn't see anyone or anything. Then she heard prey rustle nearby.

She crouched down to the forest floor. It was soft against her pads as she silently and stealthily krep forward. Once the prey was in sight she leaped and bit down on it's neck. She stood up and took a chunk out of it. Tasty and fresh. The best peice of prey she had in a long time. She shook her head and swallowed the rest. Now that she had a full stomach she wanted to find that scent. The scent of a cat.

"Hello?" She mewed again and saw a cat.

Jay turned around on her branch and looked down to see a red she-cat, "Hello!" She said with a purr. She herself was eating some prey, a vole as well. It was tucked neatly between her paws, safe from falling as she ate it.

"I haven't seen you around." Jay mewed. This was almost her second home, she didn't sleep here, but she was here most of the time.

Foxy's green eyes turned into slits. "I havn't seen you either." She mewed. "I'm Foxy, I leave in the swamp, a very, very, long walk from here." She glared at the cat.

"I take it this is your home?" She looked around the trees and looked down at the carcuss of her prey. She stared at the werid cat. Peppy little kitty.

Jay smiled, "Nope!" She then jumped down, looking at Foxy, "Ya, the swamp is far away."

Jay let out another purr, she didn't meet many new cats often, mainly because many cats didn't live here, and this was where she went the most. She flicked her tail in greeting and her ears twitched.

"Why are you here?" She asked her. "I'm just here for the prey." She mewed drawing her paw over her head.

[Optimus]

Optimus slowly traveled through the land. Hi pelt sticking out like a sore thumb. As he stepped light rains of dust scattered from his paws. The leaves above were a bright green, the sky a lovely blue. Optimus was glad that it was so peaceful. He had nobody with him, except maybe the prey around. But he didn't mind. He was getting a chance to think. He mostly thought about random stuff, mainly prey or the weather. Boring stuff.

As he kept going her heard voices, two she-cats. He quickened his pace and stopped when he found them. He dipped his head, a usual greeting. It was also a sign of honor. He looked at the first cat, a grey she-cat. Then looked at the other, a more unusual color. A bright reddish color with blazing green eyes. He was curious about the second cat. She seemed aggressive.

She glared at Jay who was not answering her. Insolent fool! She thought bitterly and whirrled around and saw a cat gawking at her. "What do you want!" For some reason she wasn't in a very good mood. She stuck her nose up in the air and brushed past the tom.
